I have been working at Bradken full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

safety was always first, meaning that they actually cared and wanted you to go home in safe condition.

    Cons

leads had favorites, need to make sure all men can see that it's fair to all!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

make sure all was fair and even to men on the floor.

I have been working at Bradken

    Pros

This was a great place to work, Pay was good, benefits were good, employees worked hard for the company!

    Cons

The management could care less about the people, the head of the plant would constantly lie to people. They can never tell us anything and when they did you couldn't believe it. It was the do as I say not as I do management style. They have shut the foundry down only offering $1,200 to the employees to stay until the last day. no severance package nothing. 90+ employees now have to find new jobs, while knowing the managers are all getting a severance package to help them along. Thanks Bradken Proud to belong huh!!!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your employees like you would want to be treated, stop lying to people! follow the core values you preach to the people. You post the company core values all over the plant and preach to us how important it is we follow them yet you guys are exempt for following them! very poor managers, if you want your foundry to stay open address the issues at hand not just brush them under the rug hopping they will get better. If there is a problem be truthful and resolve it!

    Pros

State of Kansas and State of Missouri and Federal Government funded new buildings for Bradken in Atchison Kansas due to new bridge.

    Cons

Bradken Management in Australia could care less about Kansas job growth, instead invested in plants in Washington and Louisiana.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do something positive for employees and Kansas.

I have been working at Bradken full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Money, benefits, ability to work independently. That's all that they have to offer. And last is the door shutting behind you when leaving for the day.

    Cons

Management doesn't care, old boys club on the shop floor. Current foreman lead hand only care about their own group of skin color. The harder a person works less respect. So they lazy guys get promoted. Immigrants are treated as stupid. Management pushes work life balance, but doesn't follow thru. Your opinion doesn't matter. No training program for new hires, unless your liked by foreman from day one. Bad behaviour ignored.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Follow thru with promises, stop looking for a fight when an employee wants to speak. Get a clue. Your bonus checks are more important to you that your employees
