Pros
Outstanding Assignment
Outstanding Staffing
The assignments allowed to improve my accounting skills.
Cons
I wish I had more assignment with Bradsby Group
Advice to Senior Management
None - they are doing an outstanding job.
Pros
Self directed and lots of holidays. Good place to work while you are looking for a real job.
Cons
They throw you into the pool and you better know how to swim. They go through Account Executives and Recruiters, so they are constantly hiring. See Craigslist as there will be an ad for an "Executive Recruiter"
Advice to Senior Management
Take better care of your people.
Pros
It's a sales environment so the financials are transparent and straightforward. Also, the commission structure is on the high end of the market generally and you get a 10% bump in take home after you cross a reasonable production goal. There are more than 60 recruiters dedicated to 8 industry groups and is a wide variety of backgrounds and recruiting styles and almost everyone is very generous with their time in helping colleagues. Also, there are tremendous resources dedicated to researchers and databases and online tools so you can focus on your job and waste time clicking around the web. Huge earning potential, great people and terrific resources. What's not to like??
Cons
Self-management is key. You've got to plan your day and implement it. You've also must have asll of the skills of a full desk - you need to be able to write a job order and recruit. Can't do just one or the other.
Advice to Senior Management
Better communication about the fact that Bradsby Group has an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan), an employee benefit plan which makes Bradsby Group employees owners of stock in the company and how new employess can participate and benefit would be hugely helpful.
Pros
You leave early for holidays!
Cons
Hire and fire organization
Bullpen environment
100-200 cold calls per day
Calls are monitored
They do not discuss the call volume when you interview
False promises of making up to 200K a year
Draw against commission
Abuse of staff
No loyalty
Extremely high turnover
Commissions stay in house when let go. The contract is misleading
Extremely unprofessional management and ownership
Their clients are in the dark
Advice to Senior Management
IWith Bradsby, Houston sales being down, is the revolving door really that beneficial to your firm!
Pros
Bradsby Group has received recognition from the Denver Business Journal as the #1 Staffing Agency. This is primarily based on revenues. If you are an aggressive sales person there is surely money to be made here. They are fairly generous with holidays, giving half days the Friday before Memorial Day, Labor Day, etc. They close at 4 pm on Fridays.
Cons
Every Account Executive must meet with the owner on Monday mornings to go over marketing/recruiting activities. The owner chooses his favorite employees and everyone else he goes out of his way to torment. I struggled to bring in job orders and was told repeatedly that I had no work ethic, I wasn't trying hard enough, and that 60 phone calls per day was not enough. Once an Account Executive recruits a candidate, they "own" that person for 2 years. I came on to an established team with about 10 AE's and it was very difficult to get new candidates because of that rule. Even if they hadn't spoken with someone in 6 months, they still "owned" that candidate. I left the Monday morning meetings in tears or shaking with anger just about every week. Eventually, although I was producing placements and was ahead of my draw, they had to downsize the team and I was let go. They did this in order to protect some of the "favorite" employees who had been there longer but were not bringing in commissions. They strategy was that by doing this they were able to keep the majority of the fees that I was due to collect (roughly $20,000) which is in the employment agreement I signed when I was first hired.
Advice to Senior Management
Focusing on negativity all the time does not motivate employees to want to work hard or do better. I worked my butt off for them and whenever I made improvements or accomplishments they rarely got recognized. It was always "what else do you have for me"?
