I have been working at Brand Energy And Infrastructure Services full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Provides training for Project Managers, Superintendents and promising employees. Office culture is the same as most places. You will always have "that one guy"

    Cons

There is no definitive career path. It is luck of the draw sometimes. You have to earn your time off based on hours work and other aspects.

I have been working at Brand Energy And Infrastructure Services full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    good work-life balance.

    Cons

Used to work for Harsco, however we were merged with Brand this past year. Old fashion management styles and concerned petty. Willing to give up new business because it didn't meet their 'threshold' however now the competition is taking over.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I worked at Brand Energy And Infrastructure Services full-time

    Pros

Company was good early on when they were focused.

    Cons

After sale in 2013 they became too large to manage themselves, losing great talent and retaining mediocre ones based on who you know

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get to better understand what you are trying to do and communicate it to everyone. Figure out who can do things and let them do it instead of changing priorities and not using the good talent there.

    Pros

Very large specialty construction company with a lot of opportunity through out the country. Organization is fairly simple. You will have all HR, Health, Vac, Pto etc. with this company on the management side

    Cons

To many unknowns factors within this large company. Resources are there although hard to find. Little direction is passed from top management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make it simple. get rid of the accounting fog. Reach out to your real team's in the field with real facts.

    Former Employee - Painter Helper

I worked at Brand Energy And Infrastructure Services full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The people are good to work with, never a dull moment. I had a chance for OT every now and then. Good hours, get off for the holidays.

    Cons

No room for advancement, they will teach you more I was a painter helper. And even though I was there for 3 years they never wanted to give raises. Guys would learn to spray & blast and wouldn't get anything to show for it. Getting money is like pulling teeth. No vacation, no sick days, they would say that there is no money for a raise but would turn around and give a manager a $3 raise.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make your employees feel more valued, give raises & do evaluations. Don't just tell your employees there is no money and if you don't like it leave. But turn around and give a manager a $3 raise.
