Former Employee – worked at Brandon Wilde
Pros – A very rewarding job for people looking for their first parttime job. Not enough pay for the things that you have to do but nonetheless a good first job. Very flexible hours. The shifts were not late. They ended every night at about 8pm. Thus a good job for people trying to juggle school and making money. Working with the elderly is one of the most rewarding jobs that a young individual can experience.
Cons – The people that you served would die. You would make friends with the residents and then see them degrade and get older. It was sometimes a very sad job and makes you realize how fragile one becomes in old age. you don't get tips. you aren't paid enough for the kind of emotional work one had to do.
Advice to Senior Management – Sometimes the workers felt used and overworked. They felt as if the effort they were putting in went unnoticed by the leaders. Maybe there should be a new way of recognizing people when they are doing a good job.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

Current Employee – been working at Brandon Wilde full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – The residents have a rich history of story telling of their younger years. It's an honor to hear about the aerly wars and also to learn so much about life from our centenarians 100-104 yrs old.
Cons – Management is nasty, cut throat, biased, no open door policy. Nothing is confidential- not even your record.Corporate bullying at its finest.
Advice to Senior Management – Put your moeny where your mouth is and hire qualified compassioante employees. It does pay off in the long run.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
