    Pros

The team is really supportive. Exciting new projects. Great learning curve.

    Cons

Lack of communication between all levels. And lack of incentive structure. Limited room for growth.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start an incentive structure in accounting department. Better communication and understanding of company structure. Limit favoritism.

I have been working at Brandy Melville full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

there is nothing pro about this company

    Cons

Rude co workers all bratty girls, customers come in and scold you about how horrible of a person you are for working for a company that only makes one size. At my location, us girls found out that the "model like girls" were getting payed more than the "regular" employees. Not a fun place, it looks cool and cute whatever, but not worth the drama ad minimum wage.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be nicer to your hard working employees.

    Need better management

    I worked at Brandy Melville

    Pros

Good clothes, decent discount, family and friends discount, easy work, friendly coworkers

    Cons

lack of professionalism especially by the managers, hypocrisy, poor employee training, the lazy sales associates make customers think all of us are snobby

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Train your employees better. My first day, the manager showed me how to hang one piece of clothing and then told me to go to the dressing room. I was never taught about customer service or even about company history. Some of my coworkers didn't even know this company was from Italy. They thought it was from America. Also there is a lot of hypocrisy by managers. They tell us to stop standing in groups talking while they are the ones who are crowding in a corner or behind the registers gossiping and giggling very loudly. Absolutely ridiculous. Did not earn any respect from me.

I worked at Brandy Melville part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Fairly decent "learning experience." The employee discount slightly ameliorates the fact that the clothes cost a fortune. Working here is pretty much a recreation of high school. Somewhat flexible schedules.

    Cons

The turnover rate is absurdly high, as they are constantly hiring new girls. Horrifically superficial: This company exclusively cares about your appearance, and nothing more. If you are good looking, you will succeed in this company. Seriously, girls are ONLY hired based on looks and not experience or capabilities. They specifically tell management to hire new girls based entirely on looks and not skills.

    Pros

The employees are all friendly to each other.

    Cons

The employees are not friendly to customers.

Pay is based on how pretty you are. Some girls make $12/hour with no previous work experience due to their genetics. Otherwise, you make $8.50/hour, and it's hard to get a raise.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give girls equal opportunity and hire managers with experience. Looks aren't everything.
