I have been working at BrassCraft full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people at BrassCraft are wonderful. They are hard working and will do what is needed in order to make the business succeed.

    Cons

The management is horrible. Change in management has caused a lot of hard feelings. All managers here thing that they are above the other employees. They do not stop to think that the reason the business is running is because of the blue collar workers. Those that sit in their ivory tower making the big money really are doing nothing but tearing down the business.

    Advice to Management

Need to put the employees first. Get out on the floor and be seen. HR needs to stand up for the employees instead of laying down.

I have been working at BrassCraft (More than a year)

    Pros

It still has a family oriented atmosphere. A lot of benefits for employees including EAC events once a month. Very easy to work with others.

    Cons

They want you to work your life away. No work life balance. No place for advancement. Very poor leadership and management.

    Advice to Management

Take a look around and find out why employees are so disgruntled. I mean really practically the whole accounting department has quit or been fired.

I worked at BrassCraft full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Most of the individuals are great to work with. They have Employee Activity Events on a regular basis. Community involvement.

    Cons

Executive staff is more about making a name for themselves vs. doing the right thing for the company or the employees. There is no work/home balance. Expectations are that you put in at the minimum of 60 hours per week with no overtime pay.

    Advice to Management

The employees are more than willing to do what is needed to get the job done. Treat them with respect!!

Give back to your employees... Not 1 day off the month of June... And it's starting to feel like July will be the same way.

    Pros

Brasscraft is flexible when you need to take time off. The people, in general, are a good group to work with.

    Cons

Communication from management from the very top is almost non-existent. Pay increases have been below national average. Strong sense of dissatisfaction with many employees throughout the company.

    Advice to Management

Our president should communicate with his people. Take a lesson from Don Milroy.
