    Pros

Compared to most companies, great benefits. Free/very low cost cable, internet and phone service. Variety in daily tasks/ responsibilities. Great team environment.

    Cons

Larger company means can means things can be inflexible at times. Departments, at times, seem to not cooperate and can be somewhat competitive.

    Advice to Management

Make it a point to listen to field staff since they are the closest to the customer and to the customer's experience with the products Brighthouse offers.

    Pros

None, miserable atmosphere. Entire company had checked out waiting for merger and fake severance plg.

    Cons

This used to be the best place in Tampa to work.,The past few years since Sprint management took over business side and have readied the company for the current sale to Charter it has been a boiler room. Quadrupled sales force with no increase in support. Due to managements lack of sales knowledge they raided failing Windstream and brought over entire sales group. What a mess.

    Advice to Management

Get your retention bonuses and leave. You have abandoned your loyal employees.

    Pros

free cable, his. medical I ok but there is a ever higher deductible

    Cons

ill try to make this short . Whoever is the guy that keeps raising sales quota and reducing sales leads needs to rethink things. I imagine he gets a bonus while 100s of sales reps suffer. They reduce commissions on things that are easier to sell and try to offset it on things that nobody buys. Attendance too strict. 1 min late and you get disciplined. Impossible to get time off around holidays. Call center hours are 8am to 10pm every day -- not necessary-- should be 8-7 m-f and 8-1 on sat. all other hours are straight customer service issues-- ones where they don't buy anything either. All employees who were scared to get a union going -- well see what happens ?

    Pros

The company takes care of employees with the nice benefits package. Office culture and leadership can be different depending on which department you are working in, but it's generally not horrible.

    Cons

I wouldn't advise a job in customer support on the residential side of business. Preferred schedules are harder to get since it goes off of seniority and many people have been there for a good long while. I would also say that management on the residential side has more of a take it or leave it attitude when it comes to the employees. The SMB/Enterprise sides of the business are much better.

    Advice to Management

To my former residential managers, I am working for you and expect to be addressed as such. Do not talk to me like I am your young child.

    Pros

Free cable, decent medical and dental, cool parties, random raffles and prizes if in Residential department, once a year Islands of Adventure was cool

    Cons

You are entirely scrutinized on time off, sick time, even FMLA. The company will find any reason to fire you, even for the smallest mistake or violate FMLA statutes and fire you claiming abuse. If they want you gone, they will to save a buck. The company is losing money and Charter buying them will likely make things worse I'm sad to say. It has only changed in the last year and for the worse. My advice is to stay away, they're moving lots of things to Tampa and closing departments so things are sinking fast for this company.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of that horrible attendance policy that makes people fear for their jobs. I know because friends still work there and they're afraid to call out sick for fear of losing their jobs. I would have defended you to the death had you not done me wrong, but instead you made work a living hell.

    Pros

Covered parking garage... I really can't think of any other benefits to working there

    Cons

Horrible camaraderie within the office, I was given minimal work to do and when asked for more work, I was told to straighten up the supply closet. Just a miserable experience

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees like humans and praise them for the good things they do, the smallest "thanks" or "good job" goes a long way..
