    Exhausting work place

    Technical Support (Current Employee) Saint Petersburg, FL

    Pros-You get free cable, tv, and internet
    - Medical benefits
    - used to be a great place with free snacks and little perks that are gone.

    Cons-internet signal poor and one system down weekly.
    -Dealing with angry customers back to back
    -too many new rules to get you fired
    -Pay not worth the day to day stress
    -screens monitored daily.
    - have been cheated off my pay once.
    - ashamed to tell people what company I work for as they consider the services a joke.

    Advice to Senior Management-Give people a raise for their hard work or they keep taking off and calling in sick.
    -Reduce the demands or increase the pay.
    -We are not robots we cannot do customer support and technical support together..The old way was better with each department specializing in what they know best.
    -CARE does not work.

    Great Employees at lower ranks with bad leaders at the top

    Prosgreat benefits, to include reduce rate on all services provided

    Consthey don't ask those who take care of the customers for input on how to improve, The supervisors lie to the new employees and expect that from the current employees, to make seem like everyone loves it there.

    Advice to Senior ManagementAsk those who take care of the customers what we can do to improve, such as; getting better equipment to help us perform our jobs better, or better yet. Invest in the equipment that is in the homes of everyone, i.e. modems combined with routers don't allow for best service of they are not very good quality.

    Stop asking employees to be free tech support for something that has nothing to do with our jobs.

    I love my Job

    ProsGreat benefits, including free cable, internet, and wonderful health benefits too.

    ConsShift bidding, as the call center is open from 7a-11pm, but as long as you are at the top of the list, it shouldn't be a problem

    ProsGood starting pay and encouraging management. Positive work environment. Amazing benefits including 401k, pension, healthcare, vision, dental, and heavily discounted cable service. One of the few places you can move up with hard work. Drug Free environment.

    ConsPoor hours for new employees; second shift basically mandatory. Poor communication between management and employees; has improved over last few years, but needs development

    Good company, but hard to go up.

    Pros-Great Benefits (401k, Health Insurance, etc)
    -Decent Pay
    -Good Training
    -Good Corporate Events/All Hands Meetings

    Cons-While pay is good, hard to get a raise
    -Can get stuck in a position easily and hard to move up in the company.
    -Everything is by the numbers, times for everything is monitored, very stringent rules.

    Advice to Senior ManagementWork on improving how your employees can move up in the company or even move around. Sitting in a single position for a long period of time can be very stagnant.
