    - smart people - products make a difference in the world - positive work environment

    Cons

    - bureaucratic policies - outsourcing on top of outsourcing makes it hard to get things done

    Advice to Management

    Not all outsourcing will save you money - internal capabilities were stronger than after outsourcing capabilities. This lead to holding the business back.

    Benefits, Work life balance. Gives a lot of flexibility for young mothers Best ever

    Cons

    Management is implementing new strategy but is out of touch with the micro level. Feedback is not collected fairly & if you do not have a senior person supporting you you DO NOT grow. Over worked.. & no appreciation. Directors are out of touch & Moral is rock Bottom at present.

    Advice to Management

    Get reverse feedback from the people who work on your Sr. Management & try to learn the truth.

    Pros

    Good benefits, lots to learn, varied departments and good experiences. BMS looks good on resume.

    Cons

    Support stuff is looked down and piegon holed. No advancement opportunities for the most part for support staff.

    Advice to Management

    Get rid of consultants and agencies. Pay your own people better and you will get better results.

    Pros

    Very strong leadership. Opportunities to grow everyday. People love to collaborate and build solutions across business units. Learning all the time. Feel as though my contributions really do help patients prevail over serious diseases.

    Keep going with the pipeline and the decisions you have been making to create a company that is best in the world of BioPharma. Regarding the question below, I approve of how Jim ran the company and approve of how Lamberto Andreotti is running the company -- GO Lamberto!!!!!

    work life balance great benefits allow time off as needed the mission is probably the best reason to be there

    politics relationship driven not merit based insincere leadership - some inititaives do not maje sense yet they are rolled out as the best thing ever

    need to focus on work not friends, recognize good employees. need to stop listening only to consultants. employ good people

    Pros

    The benefits are decent though shrinking, you receive some autonomy and the other employees seem to care about their jobs.

    Cons

    Shrinking benefits and perks...canceled pension, cafeteria costs rise, company store closed etc. Absent management - recent changes and they've all but disappeared Constant change for change sake Fear seems to be the current management style People who can get new jobs are heading for the doors

    Advice to Management

    Look at outside vendors and marketing costs as a way to trim expenses. Create some standards for vendors to compare apples to apples. Don't let marketers just throw money at problems and agencies looking for a fix. Don't let all of the good people go in an effort to reduce costs.

    Pros

    Have been fair in raises and bonuses and have provided a wealth of knowledge in the corporate end of this industry.

    Cons

    Corporate values where you are only a number, moving up requires kissing up the certain individuals in this company, not the quality and quantity of your work.

    Advice to Management

    Could be more knowledgable in the day to day operations of specific sites versus looking at the company as a whole.
