I worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Many coworkers really believe in making a diffence in people's lives. Although I left a while ago now I have kept in touch with many lovely people. There are also great moving around prospects if that is your thing

    Cons

Many people higher up the chain practice self protection politics and comply with whatever culture they see their seniors promoting: the result at least when I was there produced some fundamental business ethical concerns

  3. Overall very positive....but

    Pros

Overall a good company to work for. They have some good products and seem to have really changed things in the past few years with a number of good potential products in the pipeline. The people were great to work for in the main. There is the odd exception but you get that everywhere.

    Cons

Probably the biggest issue is that they seem to restructure every 4-5 years, so you are left to fight fr your job. The other problem can be workload, as the department I was in kept on taking people with little experience leaving others to pick up the pieces and help them along.

    Advice to Management

    Don't keep on restructuring

    Pros

Good training, great access to resources, annual pay rises, bonuses.

    Cons

American stone age style of time administration, missed time deducted from holidays not from pay with no chance of regaining time, first two hours of any overtime is given free to the company. no Time In Lue. A feeling of low morale in all locations. Outsourcing currently pandemic in most departments. Unions are forbidden in new sites and are being phased out of existing sites, except of course in France.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of this stone age American time managment, we are all big boys now. Stop all this outsourcing nonsense currently going on. Its affecting the quality of the product and morale.
