    Pros

Lot of opportunities, scope of work makes you learn a lot. You can pursue your passion.

    Cons

No standard SOPs of work, very person dependent. Access to higher management is minimum. Poor work life balance. Employee benefits are minimum. Poor mid level senior managers.

    Advice to Management

Develop work SOPs. Reduce hierarchy and make lower rank managers accessable to higher management.

    Pros

Joined Britannia with great expectations as I had rejected a coveted offer. However, most of my expectations were met as the company offered a well-rounded exposure with increased responsibilities from time to time. This is one thing that you can expect from Britannia - if you are willing to accept challenges then they are far too eager to give them to you in plenty! It's a great learning place and frankly in the absence of systems and processes (yes, a 100 odd years old company lacks systems) you have the opportunity to show direction to the management without much hindrance. A good place to learn the ropes of the business but if you are looking for monetary gains then you might as well look somewhere else.

    Cons

Poor paymaster compared to the industry. Has no rewards and recognition scheme either. The business strategy and focus changes with every new management consultant the company hires. Very slow in product innovation - haven't had any success since NutriChoice

    Advice to Management

Try and curb the rising attrition. As a well-wisher of the company would like you to know that some of the guys you just lost were VERY GOOD and the new guys you've hired are a bunch of buffoons with inflated ego who tom tom about their closeness and the clout they exercise on the CEO!

    Pros

If you are honest and know your job but less desire can continue for life time.

    Cons

Slow and poor work culture. Do not value employees. Not a pay master, but if one can negotiate hard can get it. No work life balance.

    Advice to Management

Only talking of 360 degree work-life dose not help to retain the right talent. Now the time to act upon.

    Pros

Britannia has an amazing brand value and you can feel that more when you step into the market. What I like about that the organization is it loves to try new things and makes a lot of efforts to match or rather to go a step ahead when compared to its competitors.

    Cons

    1. Highly underpaid when compared to other FMCG companies 2. Time Management - Britannia is like those Government offices of India where things never happen on time. If the meeting is supposed to start at 11, believe me you it will start at 4 (if you are lucky). 3. Amount of compensation rendered is meager when compared to the responsibilities and work assigned. 4. Delayed Communications and Perks/Incentives 5. Not properly designed employee development programmes and opportunities 6. Less youngsters in the regional offices

    Advice to Management

    1. Salary structure should be redefine 2. More and better Employee development programmes and opportunities 3. Managing the time in a better way.
