I worked at Britannia Industries Limited as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

Brand value is high. Senior management shows some concern for interns but it doesn't follow through in execution.

    Cons

Terrible work culture, interns are treated very poorly (talked to badly and made to sit in the reception area throughout), no stipend for the amount of travel and work that they make you do, no reimbursements as well. The work is just about average, and the extreme bureaucratic and hierarchical structure of the company make it an extremely bad experience. HR is rude and petty, specially the junior staff.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't hire interns if you can't manage them well.

I have been working at Britannia Industries Limited full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

If you are honest and know your job but less desire can continue for life time.

    Cons

Slow and poor work culture. Do not value employees. Not a pay master, but if one can negotiate hard can get it. No work life balance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Only talking of 360 degree work-life dose not help to retain the right talent. Now the time to act upon.

I worked at Britannia Industries Limited full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Britannia has an amazing brand value and you can feel that more when you step into the market.
What I like about that the organization is it loves to try new things and makes a lot of efforts to match or rather to go a step ahead when compared to its competitors.

    Cons

    1. Highly underpaid when compared to other FMCG companies
    2. Time Management - Britannia is like those Government offices of India where things never happen on time. If the meeting is supposed to start at 11, believe me you it will start at 4 (if you are lucky).
    3. Amount of compensation rendered is meager when compared to the responsibilities and work assigned.
    4. Delayed Communications and Perks/Incentives
    5. Not properly designed employee development programmes and opportunities
    6. Less youngsters in the regional offices

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    1. Salary structure should be redefine
    2. More and better Employee development programmes and opportunities
    3. Managing the time in a better way.

    Doesn't Recommend

I worked at Britannia Industries Limited as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

Learning and development, encouragement and cooperative. I worked on all the fields for my project and learned alot with britannia industries. The person's i worked with were very internal as well as external everyone cooperated for my project.

    Cons

Long waiting hours for the juniors or external people came to meet should be avoided as it is seen in most of the cases. And many problems can be solve by proper discussion.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Maintain the work environment as it is because growrth of a company depends on it

I have been working at Britannia Industries Limited for more than 3 years

    Pros

Makes you business savvy and gives a breadth of exposure
    Opportunity to do lots

    Cons

This company believes in change and how!...loves to change it strategy, values and even people every 2 - 3 years. Consultants have a huge opportunity to make money here. Britannia believes and swears by 1 way communication. Infact masters the art of directive communication. The company does not have ears, eyes and most importantly heart.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Needs an overhaul.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
