Cons
Communication issues with with UK HQ departments
Advice to Senior Management
Change isn't always for the better - Need to ask WHY change is being made, and what BENEFITS will be realised, and how these benefits will be measured after changes.
Smaller parts of the group can be more experienced in important areas - in other words, what's decided is best for the HQ is not always what's best for the smaller companies in the group. Sometimes, it's the opposite way around!
Outsourcing of none-core group services is never a good idea if you're paying more to outsource! and you'll get far worse customer service than with internal functions.
Pros
Incompetence on the side of management allows for a relaxed attitude towards work.
Cons
Incompetent management. Fear for job security on behalf of full-time employees leading to survivorship behaviour.
Advice to Senior Management
Improve communication.
