I have been working at Broadridge full-time

    Pros

This place doesn't have any pros, unless you have a boss who has a life outside of paper, but good luck with that.

    Cons

This place is filled with incompetent people whose lives revolve around paper-pushing. You will never leave early, and be frowned upon if you don't stay late. Sexism and perverts run rampant here, including senior level executives (hitting on and trying to take advantage of new young girls).

    Advice to Management

Do your jobs and fire unethical idiots.

    Pros

Collaborative management focused on products and service prior to the acquisition, when Andover was known as NewRIver. Core product has value in the overall Broadridge umbrella.

    Cons

Facility has slowly eroded into an Operation Center. No Sales team. No Product launches in over 3 years. The idea of "making the number" is not back filling positions and cutting when possible.

    Advice to Management

Resign. Allow dynamic professionals to come in and pick up the pieces, grow the products and the account base. Lack of focus on clients, on service on products and growth has created a decaying environment.

    Pros

    Good flexibility and work/life balance

    Cons

Very political - no opportunities for growth, unless you know someone. There is no direction, no communication, long hours. Office location is very depressing

    Advice to Management

Start recognizing employees for their contribution, not by who they know.

    Pros

    Central location on Long Island

    Cons

Everyone constantly boasts about the wonderful Broadridge culture. At first you are drawn into the alluring claims that are made and a couple of months in you start to see the cracks. Over time you realize that the culture is an easy mantra everyone sticks to but it's not backed by anything of substance. If you are looking for a challenge this is definitely the place, however by challenge I don't mean a character building experience, rather more like being thrown in the lion's den. You are left to identify information that doesn't exist and people who are tenured (10+ years) quizzically respond with laughter about the impossible nature of answering your request. You start here with great ambitions and drive to find yourself within a couple of months leaving each day empty knowing you can't change a place that isn't willing to change.

    Advice to Management

Pay for the skillset you are looking for rather than hiring people who don't possess the necessary experience required. If you keep paying your associates less than the standard for the needs of the role you will continue to falter in achieving company goals.

    Pros

Great culture around the company. Hours aren't too bad and there is much room for growth. Hard work is rewarded.

    Cons

Boy too many cons. All around good company that tries to better employees by providing opportunities. Must be vocal with management about what you want
