I have been working at Broadridge full-time for more than a year

    Pros

work-life balance, job security, culture, tuition reimbursement

    Cons

opportunity for growth, financial compensation, location

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest in technology - do not sell products before the are designed. Streamline existing products to make it more profitable. Promote/develop the right people, don't just recruit externally.

I worked at Broadridge full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Good company to work for with different divisions and locations so there is room for growth. Good benefits and pay seemed to be comparable to similar companies in the industry.

    Cons

Outsource a lot of programming work to India. Sometimes management doesn't seem to think through the entire big picture resulting in the worker-bees scurrying to keep up with changing objectives.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep jobs in the USA !!!!

    Pros

The company is good if you would like to do a mundane task over and over for the next 20 years (although my department was more dynamic). It has good and stable benefits and if you fit inside the culture, they will treat you like one of their own.

    Cons

It's very much like high school -- the captain of the football team dates the head cheerleader; people go to lunch together, and don't you even dare sit at their table; and the principal has his favorite students. Most people were hired when the market was booming, so the company didn't have much time to really evaluate them and be selective. So if you are a sophisticated college grad you will with with others who have no degree and will cast you out as if you're a snob.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take care of your employees, simply put.

    I worked at Broadridge

    Pros

Diverse product mix for financial services industry

    Cons

Teams are very click ish and very closed to new employees. Onboarding is an absolute disaster. If you are not on the inner circle of your team you will not survive the constant shift in priorities.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to focus on real and value added employee communications and assess how many different silo's the business currently has. Very US focused.

    Pros

    Good people to work with

    Cons

Each division was its own fiefdom and there was never real clarity on why things were not more symbiotic throughout the organization.

    I worked at Broadridge

    Pros

Good Benefits. They have a niche market so will be around for a while.

    Cons

Very much a "who knows who" company. If you aren't in the golden circle, forget advancement and watch your back. Unhealthy competition is promoted amongst employees. Creativity and loyalty are not rewarded. It's the "YES" people who are sent up the ladder.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of some of the "old boys club" management. Recognize the toxic environment that has been developed through "every person for themselves" atmosphere.

    Pros

Solid team of people willing to help each other out.

    Cons

The absolute worst management team ever. No regard to people's personal time/commitments. Expected to be available 24x7. No ability to drive decisions; people treated like slaves and puppets.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Allow your people to flourish by empowering them. Trust in your talent.

    Pros

Opportunity for improvement for staff, Supervisor and Management personnel

Not all Manager and Supervisor share view of improvement toward all employee

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I worked at Broadridge full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Lots of comraderie and feeling like being part of a second family with fellow non-management associates. Did learn alot about several different job positions within the organization.

    Cons

Had a nearly 1 to 1, 16 associates to 15 members of management, management to associare ratio in my section at one point during employment. Often had to wait for or never received answers to questions. When we, myself and fellow associates, did receive answers they were often conflicting.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have everyone get on the same page and actually use all lines of communication available to you.
