    Pros

Broadridge strives to be one of the top employers in NY year in and year out. This company provides a great work vs. life balance. Ability to work from home on occasion is a big plus.

    Cons

Due to the large corporate structure, promotions appear difficult to come by. Bumps in pay are also relegated to the standard 3% increases year in and year out. Updates and information regarding specific business units is sometimes not disseminated throughout the team resulting in lost opportunities.

    Pros

Broadridge tries to maintain awareness of your family and the work/life balance, they stress their values openly as opposed to simply posting them on a website, and they continually express appreciation to employees for the success of the company.

    Cons

Salaries at Broadridge tend to be lower on average. Although they encourage mobility within the company, politics among senior management sometimes thwarts it.

    Advice to Management

Ensure that employees can explore opportunities within the company openly. Provide more promotional opportunities.

    Pros

Work-Life Balance; Telecommute Day available; Easy vacation approval; killer hours not expected; company growing through acquisitions; lots of training opportunities; department rotations available, good benefits; most VPs have integrity and actually like people.

    Cons

    Most salaries below the median for the NY area-- however, really no overtime required; promotional oportunities tied to tnure;

    Advice to Management

More closely target reward and compensation to individual and group contribution; identify "rising stars" and provide opportunities for advancement; as some senior managent is nearing retirement-- target leaders that are strategic but practical; high energy; knowelegeable, and have personality to motivate and lead.

    Pros

    1. Lot to learn as the range of products is large. 2. Flexible work hours 3. Decent pay

    Cons

    1. Only self learning, no documentation or training 2. NO CAREER Planning or growth options, you keep doing the same thing all your life 3. Management treats everybody as one more person who is there to do his work but no weightage or concern about employee issues. Some mid/senior level people are the only ones that management thinks are important 4. Decision making, planning and budgets are handled only by senior management. Managers have no involvement in these activites even for their teams(not even in reviews) 5. have to deal with a lot of russian developers who cannot speak english or even understand wghat is needed in the products. 6. Client services is the weakest organisation, they are directed by IT and development on what they need to tell clients rather than client facing people telling othernon-client facing groups as to what the priorities are.

    Advice to Management

This is not a startup company anymore, please think of building the next layer to managers beyond the existing directors. implement career planning and goals for employees to keep them motivated.

    Pros

Good people, you can usually find people who will help you/guide you. Worked within the sales organization.

    Cons

The place is somewhat of a maze both in its reporting structure and how to navigate the management. It is often unclear who is "above" whom. There is a lot of history of competition amongst teams/groups/departments and that seemed to be a constant that would not change.

    Advice to Management

Be clearer about who you are, what you want to do, and what you expect, less campaigns and more clarity. Follow senior management's example of wanting more transparency and share what is wrong (middle management, don't just be "yes" people)

    Pros

Benefits are great, Paid tuition, 401K, Medical, Leave of absence, etc...

    Cons

Not so easy to advance if you're African American or Hispanic.

    Advice to Management

Fair treatment to the production line associates, not always the chain has to break on the wick link.
