Great place to work, the team was helpful and cooperative.

Software Test Engineer (Former Employee) San Jose, CA

ProsCompetivie salary and benefits, freindly work environment.

Conspaid vacation, bulf of the vacations are consumed in mandatory shutdowns in July and December.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe rumors of downsizing do not let the employees work with focus. Even if some decision neeeds to me made, it should not be lingering.

Not the same company it once was.

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) San Jose, CA

ProsSo far still has good compensation and the staff are very competent and creative.
Offices pleasant to work in with good campus location.
Still has reasonable mid to low-level jobs.
They finally have enough space in the new campus.

ConsNew upper executives ransacking the company.
New atmosphere thick with lack of trust.
Extremely poor communication to upper staff with "do-as-you're-told" mentality.
Projects dropped suddenly without any warning or explanations.
Executives pushing out high-performing extremely well-respected seasoned experts to replace with so so performers from their own circles.
Severe cutbacks in staff and funds while pushing for increased performance already leading to burnouts and project failures.
Staff members, the best ones, are quitting in droves.

Advice to Senior ManagementIt's too late. It's a runaway train.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Engineering Management mostly focused on solving technical problems / meeting arbitrary schedules not team development.

Software Engineer (Former Employee) San Jose, CA

ProsCompetitive total compensation. Very flexible schedule. Good location.

ConsManagers generally have poor management skills, focused on solving Engineering problems not managing people, process, team building, or facilitating. Product schedules / architectures poorly planned all emphasis on execution which often causes major issues for teams and leads to inefficient development. No emphasis / follow-thru on development plans. Lack of empowerment and transparency. Completely top-down management style.

Advice to Senior ManagementBuild a solid professional Engineering Management team hiring experienced managers from best managed companies. Avoid temptation / inertia of hiring clones of in-house managers. Focus on greater cultural / intellectual / experience diversity of staff & managers. Plan / optimize for the long term to improve overall development efficiencies.

Was good sometime back now turning into kiss my ass and get what you want culture

Software Test Engineer (Current Employee) San Jose, CA

ProsDecent salary, not much micro management, flexible work hours

ConsPromotions and perks only for ass kissers not performers and they say it is performance oriented culture

Managers have private conversations with some people in the team and only they get rewarded others no matter how hard they work are not allowed to come up

No amount of hard work and proof is enough for you to justify your hike and promotion i did some very spectacular tasks still got "Meets Expectations"

Overtly greedy management that wants to extract as much as possible from workers but not reward them appropriately

Products are shelved all of a sudden without proper reasoning

No way for engineers to give feedback on management it is a pure one way approach

No one on one meetings or skip level meetings or any other way of feedback, Management believes they are the very best and do not need feedback

Once you raise your voice against anything instead of listening you are asked to give up or pay up

Not a single day passes off without work and in-spite of so much productivity appraisals are horrible

Most of the projects you will be over worked

    HR is a non-existent entity

Advice to Senior ManagementHave proper feedback mechanism and reward true performers

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
