    Pros

Good work life balance. Good benefits.

    Cons

Very poor selection/recruiting of Managers with no proper management trainings and so managers are allowed to treat their employees very bad. I went thro' harassment from my manager. Even after reporting to HR and upper management, they would not take any action and advised me to fix it. NO protection to women. I will use these lessons learnt to coach women on how to protect themselves. My exit interview was also tailored to not even ask me why I was leaving.

    Advice to Management

Please provide protection to women. No point in having Women in Networking and such groups without providing basic protection to women against men coworkers.

I have been working at Brocade Communications full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Not too small, not too big. Culture is fairly open, most people are pretty approachable. The environment is fairly laid back.

    Cons

Don't have much innovation or grodnd-breaking products. Leadership is caught in sustaining a run-rate business...

    Advice to Management

Create an innovation lab, let people spend 10-15% of their time on new ideas, innovation. People can be very resourceful if they have opportunities to think out of the box.

I have been working at Brocade Communications full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good pay and benefits Revenue growing, business expanding Stock price climbing

    Cons

Not much flexibility Old school, baby-boomer managers Lack of trust, if you're not seen with your butt in your seat then you're not working Employees recruited from big companies have established big company bureaucracy at Brocade Loud, open environment Dated laptops and lack of good equipment in general to do your job Lots of hurry up and wait, especially in the software space

    Advice to Management

If you want to retain and recruit talented folks, especially Millennials, ditch the 90s management style and provide some progressive benefits and work flexibility. People are leaving for more progressive companies in droves.

I have been working at Brocade Communications full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great Management team, really refreshing after having worked at HP. Pragmatic, Growth driven, strategic, but focused at making the business work. Very Professional, Positive environment. Collaborative, but not consensus decision making. Lots of VERY bright people (Ex CISCO), who wanted a politics-free environment to innovate and be entrepreneurial in.

    Cons

Very focused at being in SanJose. Not used to working in a multi-location business with Lync and teleconferencing. It's personal relationships and face to face meetings. Refreshing change from 24x7 Telecons, but some times I'd like to spend more time working from home ;-)

    Advice to Management

Data Center, SDN/NFV and traditional networking selling into Service Provider and Enterprise Networking. Complete solutions, need to emphasize the foundational markets as well as the cool new innovative strategic directions.
