My experience with Brock was not one that I can say I was satisfied with.

I worked at Brock Group full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Sad to say that there were not very many pros. The work was what is to be expected from a company like Brock.

    Cons

Employees do not seem to be valued. There is a clear lack of communication between the hiring office and personnel on the job site. The hiring office insisted that they were paying per diem, but once out on the field it was a different story. Additionally, I was promised a higher starting pay, however my hiring slip showed my rate was lower than what I was promised. Hiring office said to get it fixed once inside the complex, however personnel in the complex said it had to be fixed at the hiring office. Long story short, the issue was never resolved.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Communication within the company needs to improve dramatically. Employees should be treated better.

I have been working at Brock Group as a contractor for less than a year

    Pros

Great pay and hours during turnaround and perdiem when out of town

    Cons

To much favoritism, perdiem only for a short period of time, once they dont need you, they will cut your hours down and will not give you the lay-off

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

focus on the people who really work and not only the ones that suck up to management.

I worked at Brock Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Decent benefits but pricey. Relaxed atmosphere too relaxed in many areas. Decent pay but often disparities in pay due to lack of structure.

    Cons

No structure, no accountability, inadequate systems, no hiring process. Management lays off and fires at will with no accountability. No processes in place for any department other than safety. Unethical practices occur daily and only becomes a concern if the customers raises concern. Plenty of nepotism... Family members hiring, supervising and approving raises, entering time etc. Of each other with no oversight or data integrity. No vacation time or bereavement leave for craft workers. No succession plan. ...etc... Could go on. ...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Implement a hiring process and bring on top talent adding diversity. It's time out for the good olé boy system. It's not working!

    Pros

The pay is okay. Sometimes you find really good co workers. Safety is okay at times. Rainy days off, and you will need them.

    Cons

Very poor human resources and management. There is no real connection between management and workers. Communication is really poor. Very little training.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Obtain some real training. Stop allowing the blind to lead the blind.
