    Pros

I was in the Dallas office. Loved everyone I worked with - really great people, great atmosphere, management didn't just see you as a cog but as a person. Also lots of free food (like, weekly lunches practically....)

    Cons

Travel, mediocre benefits, pay a little lacking without the constant travel bonuses and stipends.

    Pros

You get to interact with clients directly
Sometimes free lunches, seminars, other events
Not much travel and when payed per day allowance got quite extra
Pension plan, if you stay there long enough to earn it

    Cons

Complete lack of expertise in some areas, so when the product is developed it can't be supported/upgraded.
Some say it's culture, but some employees come in late, take 2 hour lunch and leave early, while you might be slaving for 10-12 or even more hours while you're on the same project.
No proper development process implemented (at least for software) back in 2010 - might have changed since.
Probation period is at least 6 months and can last indefinitely.
    Compensation is quite low

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Figure out what areas you lack skill in and hire pros at that, not just another engineer who had a course in a related field.

Former Employee - Controls Engineer in Kitchener, ON (Canada)

    Pros

It is a great place to learn industrial automation, experience engineers, lots of travel opportunity, variety of project, though most project are baggage handling systems or process control systems you have an opportunity to work in different industry

    Cons

Compensation is low compared to industry standards. There are times when you may need to travel for extended periods (> 3 to 4 months). You are expected to work long hours on client site without overtime.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Improve compensation

Former Employee - Developer in Kitchener, ON (Canada)

    Pros

    - Great team of engeneering professionals
    - Some travel required which allows to work on client sites and deploy/maintain projects there
    - Profit sharing/bonuses right away
    - Flexible hours
    - Free lunches, seminars, sports teams

    Cons

    - All working space is divided by high walled cubicles - you might not know who's working next to you unless you work on the same project
    - No co-location of the team - team can be dispersed through out the offices and if you need to talk face to face - plenty of walking necessary.
    - No proper process in place for sortware development - no code reviews, no proper testing is done.
    - My ideas of introducing industry standards in software development were disregarded

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to look at software part of the business and introduce better methodologies. Employing computer science degrees for the job is required, since engeneers lack the training in algorithms, methods, standard practices and other.

Gave us free lunch from time to time
You get to work with their customers on frequent basis
A portion of your meals and hotel say are compensated when you travel

    Cons

    Poor Salary
Excessive Hours (80+ a week, I was once yelled at for coming in 10 minutes late after being there till midnight several nights proceeding it, I did not take a single day off my last 2 months there)
Poorly managed (There were multiple times where I heard managers screaming and slamming hands on the desk of employees, I once heard a racial slur from a manager to a co-worker who did not return to work after that day)
Have a history of hiring people and then letting them go just before the probation period

    Pros

Brock is full of extremely bright and motivated co-workers who have transformed Brock into a company highly recognized in the industry.

Flexible work hours enable people work to their own timetable.

    Cons

Company compenstaion package is behind the times. There is no overtime reimbushment unless you're on an out of time job site, no sick time, and the benefit package needs updating.
