I have been working at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital

    Pros

You have a bit of free range to do what want aslong as the job is done.
Like any place of employment you can truly find friendly and respectful individuals.
    Work around flexible schedules.

    Cons

-It is most definitely a males playing field. Females must truly exude confidence and be stern every second of the day. (Administrative wise)
-Managers are not often the most professional. Their language during meetings can be condecending and not the least bit motivational.
-Their facilities in general are not the cleanist and are worn down.

    Advice to Management

Think about the supervisors you hire. Promote an equal opportunity.

    Pros

Prior to this I had no healthcare experience, but I found it easy to transition. I work in the Department of Medicine and my boss is extremely generous and patient. He really helped guide me and he is always looking to help me build upon my strengths. He does not micro manage, which I like, and he is very open to hearing ideas and suggestions. Also, there is a tradition that when a resident passes their board exams, they buy lunch for the department. This is always a good time, everyone gathers in the conference room and enjoys a meal together. while congratulating the new certified doctor. I always look forward to those days.

    Cons

Sometimes I find it difficult to get answers from people about things. If we're all on the same team then why can't I just get the information I need so I can move on with my job. There seem to be unnecessary hoops to jump through. I get frustrated sometimes trying to get things done, it feels like policies get in the way rather than promote progress.

I have been working at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital

    Pros

The staff was extremely helpful and patient with the teaching of ultrasound techniques.

    Cons

This is a high volume facility and you must become able to perform under those circumstances.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work.
