Brookshire's takes very good care of their employees, they have a lot of room for advancement and education assistance. The camaraderie is second to none, I enjoy working here immensely.

    Cons

They pay scale could be better, but it is in a smaller city so it is understandable.

    Advice to Management

I worked at Brookshire Grocery (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Not much other than steady hours if You are full time. They are also flexible if you are going to school

    Cons

Bad hours, open at 6 one day and close at 10 the next. Favoritism if you want to move up. And awful raises

    Advice to Management

Improve raises, and realize who your good employees are and give them more opportunities and don't treat them like everyone else

    Pros

Some of the nicest people I've ever met. Great company that truly cares about your interest and growing you as a person. Benefits are great, pay is competitive, and hours are good.

    Cons

Not many. Depending on where in the company you work, you may run into different things. But overall is much better than other companies out there. I definitely recommend working here.

You're doing a great job. Keep putting the people first, both customers and partners. I appreciate everything you do.

I worked at Brookshire Grocery part-time

    Pros

Management was accommodating and flexible with specific scheduling requests, and the leadership created a positive working environment for their employees.

    Cons

Brookshire's did not allow courtesy clerks to accept tips, but other than that, Brookshire's was a very nice company to work for.

    Advice to Management

During the summertime, it would be nice to allow the courtesy clerks to wear shorts in the hot Louisiana weather.
