I worked at Brose full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    - Great benefits
    - Open door policy.
    - Positive reputation
    - Some great people there

    Cons

    - Open office
    - Some team members are problematic but management ignores it
    - Overworked teams

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Expand your teams (stop overworking team members). Limit meetings - I rarely saw my manager. The discussions when management is not around also reveal many weaknesses among certain leaders.

I have been working at Brose full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Good place to learn the ropes, ins and outs of material planning, distribution and related programs (i.e. SAP). Within the plant and office there are some very personable people among the hierarchy. Benefits ok.

    Cons

Upper Management plays blaming game when issues crop up. No effort made to cooperate between groups . High expectation to be available 24/7. Frowned upon if you arrive after 8 and leave before 6 pm. Very political. Prior Manager did not have management experience and did not have his peoples backs and passed judgement without knowing all facts.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

New Manager seems to be an improvement. Get to know each department. Structure cooperation between departments.

    I worked at Brose

    Pros

There is a great sense of camaraderie at the Warren location because of the plant manager. Though he may soon move up the ladder, he's wonderful at developing those beneath him and he extremely personable.

    Cons

As a material planner, you may be pressed to work many 12+ hour days. It was typical for me to spend 50-60 hours a week at work, unplanned.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Don't change much, it's a successful system.

    Recommends
