    Pros

    Salary is competitive, Most employees have grown within the company to high levels. Stable company with great benefits.

    Cons

    laid back attitude and departmentalized. Need to be restructured for efficiency. There is a need for more training. People get promoted into positions they are not skilled for.

    Advice to Management

    Need to be more innovative.

    I worked at Broward Health (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Benefits, 401k matching, huge bonus is you're a manager or above

    Cons

    Very top heavy, management get huge bonuses and mistreat employees with no consequences. Managers don't have proper skill set. No job security and employee advocacy. Everyone is worried about stepping on the toes of upper management so there is no one fighting for the little people. It's all about who you know to get ahead. Management let's personal issues get in the way of a properly functioning dept.

    Advice to Management

    Get out of your feelings of superiority and effectively manage your employees. Stop making your employees feel worthless and dispensible. You are a tax paid entity so stop letting politics get in the way of progress.

    Great pay and benefits! One of the only places around that still offers a pension.

    Organization can sometimes be a little top heavy

    Pros

    Earn an extra $1.50/hour when working 2nd and 3rd shifts. The people I work with are very good at what they do and make work fun.

    Cons

    They only provide benefits for full time staff.

    Pros

    None, this place is really horrible. I have nothing good to say, except to stay away, go somewhere will you will be treated with respect.

    Cons

    Really horrible place to work. Management and HR are unprofessional. Pay is really low compared to other hospitals, management expects their employees to work passed their shift ends, very mistreated, the negative list just goes on and on. Don't work here, trust me you will regret it.

    Just step down, you know nothing about management.

    I worked at Broward Health full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Gained a lot of experience and obtained trauma skills. Other than that run as far away as possible , this department is going down hill fast . Killing patients doesn't even matter as long as you kiss butt and " bring in money to the hospital " while being completely abused by staff and patients !

    Cons

    Toxic environment , low pay, no opportunity to grow , you're always dispensable . Management could care less about great nurses and do not value employees and loyalty.

    Advice to Management

    Treat your loyal staff like they should be treated . Give some kind of incentive to motivate employees. LISTEN to them! Show consistency and follow through. Management is absolutely horrible !
