Pros
Salary working environment benefits career opportunities
Cons
company has a slow communication process
Pros
Ummmm free parking?Hard to really say any more.
Cons
Barr associates used to be a great place to work and part of the mission statement used to be, " To be the employer of choice" . Now this place is run by a bunch of clueless newbies that are totally clueless about thin film optics. They have pretty much destroyed 30 years of hard work and knowledge building custom thin film optics. Now customers hate dealing with us, it's a miserable place to work and it just keeps getting worse every day. They lay off key people full of tribal knowledge and it's beyond me how clueless CEO/ President can be to this after watching the same destruction takes place at other companies they bought out and taken over. Stick your head back in the mines fellers and stay out of high tech. You guys are truly clueless. Won't be long before the doors close on this place as they will loose all ability to make a custom thin film coatings and the respect of the customers.
Advice to Senior Management
The president should fire all the williams people and give power back to the old Barr people and listen to them if they truly wish to grow the business.
Pros
Technical areas offer exciting opportunities and potential for grothw
Cons
poor communication
divergent messages and direction
Advice to Senior Management
listen more and communicate in a clearer, consistent manner and direction
