Senior Management runs the company well.

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsGood salary, benefits were good. Management was good.

ConsThe HR department is poorly run.

Advice to Senior ManagementTake the power away from HR with employee benefits. Replace your HR manager, has little respect of the other employees.

    Stay Away

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsThere are some good people at the company. Good location for the HQ office. The compensation is average.

ConsThis company has the most toxic work culture I have ever experienced which is rife with gossip and overall negativity. This starts from the top. Overall, there is a lack of integrity, respect for each other and mediocre expertise which impacts the growth of the company.

    Advice to Senior ManagementMove on.

A challenging, changing environment that rewards those willing to work extra.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
    Bellevue, WA

ProsYou often get to work on new code due to consulting. It can vary from every few months on small projects to a couple year run on really large projects. But rarely past 2 years.

ConsYou can over work yourself as well.

Advice to Senior ManagementDon't let customers run over your Devs. They often gain unshielded access to the Devs, which can be abused when not kept in check.

    Living the embedded software dream!

    Senior Software Engineer (Current Employee)
    Bellevue, WA

ProsSolid company, solid benefits, opportunity to work with a wide variety of embedded platforms. Great work-from-home policy.

ConsMatrix org with too many non-technical management layers. Project managers aren't always technically savvy.

I did my time and now I'm free.

    Software Engineer (Current Employee)
    Bellevue, WA

ProsGreat location in Bellevue. Free parking. Free drinks. Flexible work hours. Some highly skilled software developers. Cool projects to work on.

ConsCompany is extremely mismanaged. Very politically charged work environment. Internal groups not working together. Lack of communication to employees. Random firing of employees and mysterious lay-offs. Micromanaged and not able to do your job effectively. Manipulating upper management staff. Low morale and employees are constantly looking for jobs with other companies. Some employees are given special treatment with pay and PTO - yes, it is obvious!

Advice to Senior ManagementSerious changes need to take place in management. There is an upper management employee who is not respected or liked and he creates chaos is whatever he touches. Allow employees to do the job they were hired to perform. Treat all employees the same. It's unbelievable how many employees waste time smoking while others are chained to their desk. Promote employees and put together a career progression plan. Teach developers new technology rather than firing them or forcing them to quit. Why isn't employee retention under review, why are employees quitting? Read between the lines. Stop the unethical business practices!

Due to restructuring of management the work environment was stressful.

    Software Engineer (Former Employee)
    Bellevue, WA

ProsDepending on project deadlines they were flexible on work hours, location good, got paid on time, some of the people were nice to work with.

ConsLack of respect and unrealistic expectations put on employees. I found the style of management was not good at giving a place to work where you were proud to work there. If you were one of the 'chosen' to get a minimal 1% to 2% raise after 2 years of not getting a raise, consider yourself lucky. Developers and employees in other departments are leaving because of morale issues, bad working environment and pay raises offered with other companies. .

Advice to Senior ManagementStop blaming the people who actually "work", leave employes alone to get their jobs done, the negative stuff doesn't make people want to work harder or stay with the company.
