    Pros

Small company with access to some cool technology and under right circumstance can grow job. Most people are nice and fun.

    Cons

Negative vibe as important smart people left in 2014, failed at the cloud strategy, HUGE LAYOFFS of engineers, company is in shrinking market, uncompetitive products, weak executive management, management strategy is all over the place and shortsighted, management makes excuses for problems, major benefits reductions, office location and condition is not competitive, forced to sell on price to survive. In about 1 year 4 HR managers/directors in a row quit- that says it all

    Advice to Management

Get new management (ones that understand how products work), get product strategy, find the few real hard workers that provide value and reward them, learn how the products work

    Pros

There were a lot of great people that worked at Buffalo which made going into work something to look forward to on a daily basis. The projects were interesting and that kept things interesting.

    Cons

The offshore management kept changing track. Priorities would change on an almost daily basis. The organization structure would change every few months.

    Advice to Management

Please pick a direction and stick with it. Worry less about politics and more about what's good for the company.

    Pros

    Good products. Strong customer service.

    Cons

Poor leadership. Terrible internal culture (or lack thereof). Morale extremely poor and no meaningful plan to effect a difference in any of these issues... Compensation heavily weighted to senior leadership.

    Pros

I would like to say something positive about Buffalo, but I was miserable here. I would have moved jobs, but for the economy. When something finally opened up, I grabbed it, even though it meant a longer commute and a pay check.

    Cons

Nobody cares about the customer. It’s all about money and margins. And nobody cares about the products quality. The only question is how many can we sell.

    Advice to Management

Something major needs to be done. (I don't know what, but something).

    Pros

Many excellent people who strive to improve and make it a fun place.

    Cons

Your role can change drastically in as little as 3-6 months. Should people in your team or area leave or be let go likely their job will become your job for no additional compensation or respect. It can lead to eventually changing what your goals are.

    Pros

Great, great co-workers. Stable company. Interesting technologies. Multi-cultural environment. Lousy chairs but plenty of cube space. More slack than Planet K.

    Cons

Overworked, underfunded QA whose results often are ignored. World class coders relegated to bugfix. Very market-driven schedules. Aversion to automation.

    Advice to Management

Change management should apply globally. Teams tasked with fixing code should have input into its creation, or perhaps people writing code should take some of the blame for product failures.
