Former Employee – worked at Buffalo Technology as a contractor for less than a year

ProsMy coworkers were generous and helpful.

ConsCompared to other tech companies I've worked at, there is much less QA at Buffalo. That means that many more defective products get to customers. The company is run as a Japanese company (of course, because it is), but Americans who work here will have to learn the ropes, It seems like a small thing, but the desk chairs were terrible. People were buying their own chairs and bringing them in. A company that won't buy chairs?

Advice to Senior ManagementWork on your US to Japan document sharing and streamline your processes.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

ProsNew mgmt, fast growth trajectory, family atmosphere. Huge addressable market, large international business with good financial fundamentals.

ConsLots of change. If you are not a self starter or can work at a rapid pace of change, Buffalo is not the place for you.

Sometimes things get lost in translation.
