I have been working at Build-A-Bear full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

If you're interested in retail this is a great place to start , Co workers and managers almost like family ! :) I've learned how to exceed in my sales plus I get to basically play with toys all day ,who can bear that! ?

    Cons

It can be a tedious job at times , especially when you host a party and the birthday kid doesn't want to play games but other than that it's almost a stress free environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    I worked at Build-A-Bear

    Pros

High pay for management and higher

    Cons

I work for a year and a half and could not believe the amount of store managers that did whatever they wanted.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep a better eye on your store managers, they get away with WAY too much. Not only the store I was at but the stories I heard of managers that continued to keep their jobs was amazing. You give too many chances and are wasting too much money on people who don't care about the company.

I have been working at Build-A-Bear

    Pros

You tend to have fun, and it's supposed to be a happy place. It's lively, and they let you dress up sometimes. There a lot of people your age too.

    Cons

They can be shady with hiring, and dismissing employees, a lot of unknown drama goes on behind the scenes. They also tend to low ball you on how much they pay. It's not such a laborous, but some customers treat you very badly because of the fact that you work in a toy store, and it gets hard on you mentally. It's stressful.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Honestly take care of your employees, be honest with them, and let them know when they do a good job. The company earns more and more money every year, so pay your employees more.
