    Pros

I am always learning something new. They keep me busy and I like that. They continuously reinvest in new equipment so you are usually in late model tractors.

    Cons

Occasionally I have to drive equipment that is not my dedicated truck, I know I am nit picking but it can be tricky going from a Mack to a Freightliner.

    Pros

The company really stresses safety. They want attention to detail when it comes to security and making sure that we do everything we can to ensure a product that is handled with care and free of contaminents. They have training like no other bulk carrier that I've seen.

    Cons

Some equipment is older. Some of the terminals don't do as good a job as others to make sure the equipment is serviced properly. Some of the fault lies with the drivers because they don't report things that need to be repaired so mechanics can't know what to repair. Some just need to be replaced because of age.

    Advice to Management

Sometimes it looks as though there is too much upper management.

Former Employee - Warehouse in Chicago Heights, IL

I worked at Bulkmatic full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits; some growth potential; opportunity to self-direct to some degree

    Cons

    Limited training; poor HR resolutions

    Advice to Management

Provide a strong timeline of training for new employees, followed by a review; provide a strong and specific training program for transitions within the company (does not need to be long or extensive, but focused). For those who have been self-motivated, have a strong work ethic and been loyal to the company, take a closer look at any person lodging a complaint, if you want to keep the honest, ethical employee.

    Pros

It pays the bills. It's a job. A few friendly people.

    Cons

Too many hours! No chain of command. Horrible communication. Favoritism is worse than I have ever seen. Extremely cut throat company.

    Advice to Management

Go back to being a company that actually cares about its employees. Bring back Butch.

    Cons

Favoritism, forced dispatched runs, out dated equipment, turnover rate is real bad, if you have a family stay a way from here home time you will never get it 10 hrs at home & right back out and there losing more customers now more then ever so bottom line the ball is in your court do as you plz But I have fare warning
