Quality, experienced staff, good SCRUM/Agile implementation, convenient location, free coffee, good money, freebies, horizontal career opportunities.

Cons

Unclear/changing requirements from Senior management, slow computers, small screens, some bad legacy systems, inflexible about leave, counterproductive HR policies

Advice to Senior Management

Make departments collaborate more, get better hardware, get tough on HR.

Pros

Salary and package were good
Some very good people
Some genuine and honest people
Effort made to supply good quality food

Cons

Dealing with the business issues very poorly. Panicking, in-fighting and very poor leadership
Work-life balance not respected
Utterly inauthentic with regards to employees health
Requiring 5:30am starts on a regular basis
All-day meetings/conference calls and excessive email volumes = significant barriers to doing any work
Dishonesty and politics at management level

Advice to Senior Management

If employees don't perform, support them
Weed out the political animals and the incompetent managers - your best employees will underperform and leave if you don't
Be authentic in the way you treat your employees - practice what you preach with regards to health

Market rate salary
Nice colleagues
Good working environment
A canteen! That isn't half bad.

Cons

No promotion opportunities
No scope to move around departments
Slow on the uptake of new technologies
Crap bonus
Some people seem to be there to make up the numbers
Not technically minded
Always worrying about what the competition is doing and copying rather than leading their field.

If you don't offer people progression then they will leave you.

Mgmt try hard to create professional atmosfere .. pay is not bad

Cons

Never sure if I will get the opportunity to earn a promotion .. need to win the hearts of people not necessarily do a good job!!
