I worked at Burger King full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Free food. Benefits cost too much, vacation days nonexistent. Lack of consistency, failure to maintain equipment, failure to ensure fair and reasonable schedules to staff, on time, changes midweek common.

    Cons

Upper management micromanages EVERYTHING!!!! No training hours provided. Minimal staffing, maximum duties dumped onto overnight shifts. Failure to discipline food safety infractions, or correct failing equipment.

    Pros

Great for beginners who have never had a job before. If you want to learn patience in fast paced environment this place will keep you on your toes. Hard workers will get hours. Build rapport with customers.

    Cons

Constantly understaffed. Hard workers are given hours on end, sometimes exceeding 50 hours a week. Unable to keep management due to pay - no time off - and round the clock scheduling. Equipment failures are difficult to get repaired.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Paid time off benefits, performance bonuses and holiday pay would be nice.

    Pros

Good for working around your schedule

    Cons

Too many to name. Nothing really good about it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your employees with respect. Actually thank them for doing all the work. Managers get bonuses for sitting in the office watching employees earn the bonus. Worst company I have ever worked for.
    Overworked and underpaid.

    Pros

    ° Free Food
    ° Free Sauce
    ° Free Hat/Shirt
    ° Bi-weekly Paycheck
    ° Meet New Friends

    Cons

Hot, Sweaty, Min Wage, Lazy Management, Unsanitary, Shorting Paycheck, Free Food Poisoning, Non-paid Breaks

The managers usually washed their hands before putting on gloves to prepare food. Crew members hardly ever would.

The first couple months I ate my shift meal, I would get diarrhea almost daily.

Several paychecks where shorted from 8-19 Hours.

3 out of five shifts the manager in charge would sit in the office tweeting/Pandora and not assist in store operations.

Most night shifts former/current off duty employees would in plain street clothes come in and make food for take out at no cost.

When looking at my title you probably thought ' This guy is hyperbolical! ' However those are all factual events that took place in my 6 Months of employment.

There's much more I could detail, however I think this brings the biggies to light.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There needs to be incentives for staying busy rather than being given shakes and deserts for slacking off.

I have been working at Burger King full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Multi-billion dollar company, nothing else please read the cons section for a complete understanding of what I am saying.

    Cons

Horrible work conditions, extra long hours, morale at an all time low, bonus keeps getting cut, workload increases. Move nowhere fast and executives are clueless as to the way people are treated here. Extremely high turnover.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Put in a mole to see what is really happening. Survey all the people who left especially recently. Listen to them. Change the way things are done. There are many good smart people who left because of work conditions. It's embarrassig and a shame that a company like this is run the way it is.

I worked at Burger King full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

It was great working at BK right out of high school because it gave you responsibility and a paycheck! Depending on the type of customers you have, it can be an OK experience. I think the specific location I was at was very flexible with what hours you worked. You get a free lunch or dinner or lunch and dinner.

    Cons

You should get paid more than minimum wage for EVERYTHING that you do during your shift. There really aren't any perks, there are no incentives, no organization, if you want to become a team leader you need to kiss up to management because they play favorites. Management sucks. Hard to advance. People make fun of you or look down on you because you work at BK

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't play favorites, pay more money to your hard working employees, become more organized, and make your employees want to show up to work using incentives.
