I worked at Burger King part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Make money through high school. Experience in a fast-paced diverse work environment. Makes you appreciate your next/real job even more.

    Cons

Minimum wage, place I worked at didn't give raises (it's not something you really turn into a career builder anyway unless you want to work your way up management.).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The store I worked at was a franchise and seemed somewhat disorganized. I suggests regular schedules for employees rather than finding out at the beginning of each week.

    Pros

Nice Atmosphere, Good Service, Wonderful Food, Great Employees, and wonderful Management, Very Caring and Helpful Staff. Management has great relationships with Staff and Customers.

    Cons

Pay is not enough for Daily Work Details, and new Staff need further Training as well as more Teamwork. Motivate and reward good employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Meet with Staff and find Trainers, or Management to Train the new Employees.

I worked at Burger King part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

I enjoyed the day-to-day activities. I knew what was expected of me before I clocked out, and I got to interact with different types of people every day. My managers were mostly helpful and laid back.

    Cons

Customer service will always be difficult at some point. Some people are just difficult to work with, and there is no way around that. There are also considerable changes in atmosphere. Although there is always something to do ("if you have time to lean, you have time to clean."), some time periods and days will be much busier than others. Long shifts can be unbearable if you do not time manage well.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Fire lazy people, regardless of time of service. A lazy employee brings down the effectiveness of the group as a whole.

I worked at Burger King full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Free food. Benefits cost too much, vacation days nonexistent. Lack of consistency, failure to maintain equipment, failure to ensure fair and reasonable schedules to staff, on time, changes midweek common.

    Cons

Upper management micromanages EVERYTHING!!!! No training hours provided. Minimal staffing, maximum duties dumped onto overnight shifts. Failure to discipline food safety infractions, or correct failing equipment.

I have been working at Burger King full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Franchise has great company values.
Working hard can and will help you climb the company ladder.
Great work for you people, really helps build character, also teaches young people to deal with people.

    Cons

Awful pay for a tremendous amount of work.
Managers are treated like dirt by upper management.
Team members are not given descent benefits, and are paid minimum wage.
Manager hours are generally very long and there is very little room for flexibility in the schedules.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay the people you hire and that work so hard better! Many deserve it!
