    Pros

You have the benefit of using the spa, bringing your own clients, flexible schedules and good health insurance.

    Cons

Paid commission is too low and does not pay hourly wage added to commission.

    Advice to Management

Increase commission pay and add an hourly wage.

I worked at Burke Williams full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The best reasons to work here are your fellow coworkers. You meet some great, talented, hardworking individuals.

    Cons

There are so many managers and they all don't really do much for you. If you have any suggestions for the company they are most likely ignored. Tips go missing all the time and management does very little to solve the problem. The turn over rate is huge as the pay is ridiculously low for a "5 star spa" and they advertise that their employees are financially independent. Don't fall for this it is a joke.

    Advice to Management

Don't hire so many managers but invest in your quality employees that are the "bread and butter"of your company. If you say you have an open door policy don't have an attitude of annoyance when an employee walks in. Do something about the missing tips. Alot of your employees rely on these to supplement their meager salary.

    Pros

Full time is 4 days/week and with benefits. A lot of opportunity to get free services and products, plus discounts. Management is great- the entire staff is really part of a team. Growth/promotions given first pick to employees.

    Cons

Required to work at least two weekend days (fri, sat, sun) and it's really hard to get those covered if you need them off- reason for my life/work balance rating below

    Cons

Mr. Armour if you do read these reviews Please ask your managers at the SF location not to undermine the employees!!. Your philosophy on caring for each employee is heartfelt however your staff management does NOT mirror your views on the well being of employees. With that said, many of us here need jobs to care for our families but don't enjoy the office favoritism!. The one's who work hard for you Mr. Bill Armour are not getting recognised just the mere opposite. Dress fashion unfortunately some of upper management dress like they are pole dancers. Not to undermine anyone in particular but if we employees can abide in strict dress code why are they not? The only time the management is in good is when there higher ups come to visit, once that is done they act differently once again. The turn over rate for employees is like a revolving door every month!. Truly I believe it's Not the job but it's management staff!!!. This place needs to be on TV Show Undercover Boss..you will be amazed how your management team in SF treats employees.

    Advice to Management

    Stop the office favoritism!!!!!!
