Spa Perks and full medical benefits.

    Cons

Mr. Armour if you do read these reviews Please ask your managers at the SF location not to undermine the employees!!. Your philosophy on caring for each employee is heartfelt however your staff management does NOT mirror your views on the well being of employees. With that said, many of us here need jobs to care for our families but don't enjoy the office favoritism!. The one's who work hard for you Mr. Bill Armour are not getting recognised just the mere opposite. Dress fashion unfortunately some of upper management dress like they are pole dancers. Not to undermine anyone in particular but if we employees can abide in strict dress code why are they not? The only time the management is in good is when there higher ups come to visit, once that is done they act differently once again. The turn over rate for employees is like a revolving door every month!. Truly I believe it's Not the job but it's management staff!!!. This place needs to be on TV Show Undercover Boss..you will be amazed how your management team in SF treats employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Stop the office favoritism!!!!!!

    Pros

Your co workers become like family. Everyone holds themselves accountable for their work. The owners and upper managers make their presence known in positive ways.

    Cons

Scheduling and finding coverage can be a nightmare. No paid time off or sick days, no holiday pay. No competitive pay scale for managers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay the managers on duty more. They really carry the spa to achieve the 5 star status and are not rewarded accordingly.

    Pros

It's a great work environment at the location in Sunset, the management does it's best to make the employees happy. Staff is young and friendly. As a Front desk, they try to compensate the hourly by giving you free services which is awesome and a hand pick of gift cards depending how many membership goals you obtain.

    Cons

Corporate set goals that are unreachable.

    Good for industry experience, but...

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee
    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    I worked at Burke Williams

    Pros

Coworkers were great, the wellness program was great, and the exposure to the industry was great.

    Cons

Management was extremely unprofessional, unorganized, disrespectful and had horrible communication skills. My managers let me go by lying about a mandatory meeting to lure me in, and fired me instead. I had been part of the company for a year and a half, and was well-liked by most of my coworkers. I wish I had been treated with more respect than that.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat others how you want to be treated. Be honest. Make decisions more based on what's good for the company, including it's employees well being...you are a wellness company afterall.
