    Pros

Near Times Square, I guess that is nice?

    Cons

Everyone is rude and management and HR never knows the status of anything. The directors are lazy and several of the employees have a high school clique mentality and pretend to work when they are just on facebook all day. These people also do not give employees water or coffee in break room. I have never worked for a company that doesn't have water or coffee in break room?!?!?!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You are managers so act like managers. Stop being so lazy and passing the buck on to the next intern or lazy assistants.

    Pros

BCF has a lot of potential in the future. There are a lot of exciting changes going on here, and many of them will drive the company toward a very profitable conclusion.

    Cons

There is a very serious lack of action when it comes to management problems that are bubbled up from associates, and executive management would rather sweep issues under the rug than deal with them head-on. Very disappointing to see, and discouraging to experience.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take concerns from associates seriously -- the "ivory tower" syndrome is very real at the BCF office, and the reality of the business (stores, field, general operations) is often misunderstood by executives that set foot in stores perhaps once a year on Black Friday.

I worked at Burlington Coat Factory part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Working at Burlington is a good working experience. I did asked the supervisor to managed the shoes in the shoes department, arranged clothes and accessories at the men's department, and made a great teamwork by checking the price tag and placing size pins orderly.

    Cons

When I was training at Burlington, I didn't get a chance to become a cashier because it's the easiest job to work for. However, I did see some flaws for this company which the co-workers do little amount of their job, so I decided to help them to finish the task on time. Finally, the company has more than two supervisors on different workdays which I'm confused who is the top supervisor, but they did support me for doing a great job on what they want to work for.
