    Pros

Exciting opportunities for advancement. I have not been promoted, but I have seen a number of my colleagues advance to well deserved positions. And Burlington is the kind of company that cares about employees and the communities we live and work in. We collect coats for those that are cold in the winter, and we support local schools, women's heart health, and cancer research. This is the kind of company you can really feel good about working for.

    Cons

Not many cons, this is really a great place to work. Sometimes there is some traffic getting to work, but that is not really the company's fault.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing. The growth in stores and in our sales has been terrific, and working at a winning and growing company makes all of the employees fell good about working here.

    Pros

Hours are flexible. They are good with switching out your schedule with no problems if need be. And the 25% off occasional employee discounts are great on top of clearance items that can also be put on layaway waving the $5 layaway fee.

    Cons

The down side working here is that no matter how much experience you have they start you off at $7.25 and the raises are terrible. And the reason being is that a bank bought out the company a few years back.

    Advice to Management

More pay! If employees are paid more then they would stay. Burlington has a high turnover because of this reason.

    Pros

Management is friendly. 25% off bonus days are nice.

    Cons

The pay sucks. They work you very hard and pay new associates below minimum wage.

    Advice to Management

Treat all employees equally. It's not fair that minimum wage increases, but new associates are not eligible for it until they work at least 6 months.

    Pros

I have been with Burlington for just over a year – and I am so glad I’m here! As an off-price retailer, Burlington offers a fast-paced, results oriented environment that is successful through collaboration and a genuine trust and respect for each other, our business partners and our customers. I’ve found the leaders of our company to truly care about associates. I am proud to work here!

    Cons

Opportunities to enhance and expand existing training programs to ensure continuous growth and development of associates.

    Advice to Management

Keep it up! Continue to be visible, continue to recognize those that make a difference, continue to care about our communities. Doing so will ensure our associates and our business continues to be successful year after year!
