I have been working at Burlington Stores full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Burlington is growing! I'm glad to be part of a company that's opening beautiful new stores. The company solicits feedback from employees and is serious about their core values.

    Cons

None, there are opportunities for people who are hard workers.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing, I'm excited to see what the future holds.

I have been working at Burlington Stores full-time

    Pros

Company is growing and the people are following the values. they seem to really want to invest in the employees. a successful company so far. great career opportunities.

    Cons

the leaders dont make meaningful decisions fast enough. the lack of direction inside makes it tough to know what direction to head in. can be really confusing to figure out strategy and without question it is just not possible to get things done efficiently here.

    Advice to Management

model good processes and standard ways of working. set expectations with managers that they should work efficiently and get the important things done as quickly as possible and move on to the next thing. stop the endless analysis and rework.

I have been working at Burlington Stores full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Honestly it looks good on paper to work for them

    Cons

Corporate management is so screwed up. The pay is horrible, and they treat you like garbage. HR does a your voice thing, but no one trusts anyone in the company to be honest. The allocation management is rude and caddy. They talk about the allocators. It is very un professional and everyone is leaving. The pay is way less than industry norm.. And you don't get Black Friday or Christmas Eve off and you are working CORPORATE!!!! By far the worse retailer to work for, people who stay are stuck their because they grew up in south jersey and there isn't anything else there.

    Advice to Management

Respect and stop bullying the allocators. Some mangers actually do their job, others are so mean and we are left not feeling comfortable to talk to anyone because our seniors aren't trust worthy .

I have been working at Burlington Stores (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Discount for employee and their family members

    Cons

Schedule very few hours (around 11 per wk) then send you home early expecting employees to still accomplish 40hr work week load. When that doesn't work, instead of giving appropriate hours they implement changes (that don't work) trying to speed up process. Rarely address problem employees.

    Advice to Management

Quit trying to fix what's not broken! If you want to keep "good" employees give them appropriate hours.

I worked at Burlington Stores part-time

    Pros

My job did not require direct contact with customers. Other than that and being surrounded with good employees and one nice supervisor there were no other pros.

    Cons

All supervisors and managers look down on all employees and talk badly of them to one another, little to no in-store benefits, business became disorganized as soon as one person in management position went into vacation, and manager took it personally when I had to leave work for school and would constantly bring it up.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees like human beings and realize there are situations that can come up and that should not be held against them.

    Pros

Everyone was pretty friendly and I really enjoyed working with the people I worked with.

    Cons

Too laid back. There seemed to be a lack of organization. I was called by a manager once because they wanted to know where I was even though I wasn't scheduled to work that day. The back room was very messy and disorganized and things were easily lost.
