Since its Govt setup, it has its own advantage. Not much pressure.

    Pros

The freedom to design, be heard and learn; and grow if only intellectually. The freedom to discuss things with your peers, even the Group Lead who'd explain things to you like you're five, the friendliness of people to help out, if asked, there are a plenty of reasons. Above all, the company of like minded people.

    Cons

Oh the mundane, the stubbornness that sets in from experience, the weight of experience that bores down on the ideas of fresh-talent, the 'patch it up first, improve it later (which never comes)' attitude that you must fight against, the ill-managed HR. In short, a place with many 'wrongs' to learn from, and many 'rights' to take away and cherish.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take a walk through the technical corridors too, interact with Research Engineers if you are to know any of their problems. And get those Goddamned coffee machines upgraded. 20 buttons, only three programmed to work, and that too what? A run-off-the-mill cappucino, milk and hot water, that too available in two slots throughout the day?
