    Pros

Salary offered was more than requested, allowed me to get my foot in the door in the government contracting world, provided good benefits.

    Cons

If they loose a project, they let you go from the company and do not try to find you another project. Promised a woman I worked with a job then backed out day before contract change.

    Advice to Management

Do a better job taking care of employees during transition times between contracts

    Pros

Knowledgeable experts who provide quality training services and products. People are generally fun to work with and there's a real team environment/culture.

    Cons

The management plays games/politics, even in their dealings with partners. The owners' management varies from "careful and calculated" to "impulsive and short-sighted." They're also prone to disciplining employees for only perceived mistakes or wrongs even if the evidence shows that nothing was done wrong in the first place. Very little advancement potential - they like to keep employees where they are with token, cost of living raises at most.

    Advice to Management

Consider reflecting on and improving how you treat employees - many of the desertions over the past few years was due to many unhappy employees being tired of poor management behavior towards them.

    Pros

The work life balance is great. They are very understanding about school, traffic, problems, or just a need to run an important errand. The environment is very relaxed.

    Cons

I've never worked for any contractor that can control the client. They all seem to cave which results in periods of more stress or work that isn't to the level you want. But these are less frequent than the periods where the client is behind and time is ample.

    Advice to Management

Control the client and ask employees how much time is needed for a task before assigning it so it can be efficient.
