I have been working at C&T Publishing

    Pros

The people who work here are amazing. Talented, professional but also fun and personable. The atmosphere is pleasant, relaxed and professional. It's also remarkably drama-free. The professional development opportunities are flexible -- anything from quilting classes to writing workshops to speed reading courses. We get to sew at work some times. Interesting perks.

    Cons

The pay is terrible. Every perk does not seem available to every employee. A little favoritism?

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Recognizing the money issues of a publishing company and a company this size, management could still provide a few more perks. Water and Folger's coffee are better than nothing. Maybe. But more vacation days and/or vacation days earned at faster rates. Week off between Christmas and New Years.

I have been working at C&T Publishing part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Everyone there is all about teamwork and working for the greater good. They are always open to new ideas and encourage innovation in all departments. I have never worked with a more creative and cooperative group of women.

    Cons

The pay is ridiculously low. We frequently perform miracles with minimal resources and are expected to cut expenses while maintaining superior standards - which is pretty difficult to do.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Share the wealth and pay the employees what they are worth.
