Good team environment, decent pay and benefits.

Lead Network Engineer (Former Employee)
Saint Louis, MO

I worked at CACI International full-time for more than a year

ProsA top notch defense contractor. Solid company with plenty of jobs available all over the country. Willing to relocate you if you like. Competitive salary and benefits.

ConsYearly merit increases were small. Also, the company is still a defense contractor, all positions are subject to the client renewing the contract you are on. If another company under bids you, you will likely need to move to a new city or find a new job.

Advice to Senior Management401k investments should vest immediately. It is likely that the contract you are on will expire before company contributions vest.

I wouldn't mind coming back to them, if the pay is right.

ProsThey take reasonably good care of their employees, and they know how to party.

ConsThere is always a bottom line, and sometimes it falls right out from under you, but that is the case with every contractor.

Advice to Senior ManagementContinue taking good care of your people and they will take care of you.

100% client site, but CACI supervisors are very kind and helpful.

Production Clerk/Document Management Analyst (Current Employee)
Washington, DC

I have been working at CACI International full-time for more than 3 years

ProsWhen on client site, CACI supervisors do not waste a lot of your time knowing you are tied up with client work.
Very responsive to any questions/concerns.
When you are stressed at your job, you can talk to them for guidance and support.

ConsHuge company, many faceless names.
Never meet your supervisor if at client site.
Don't FULLY pay for metro costs, though there is a pre-tax route.

Advice to Senior ManagementMore company-wide get togethers including those on the client side!

Decent place to work

Project Manager (Technical) (Current Employee)
Arlington, VA

I have been working at CACI International full-time for more than 5 years

ProsDecent pay, benefits, and advancement opportunities

ConsEmployment is contract driven, no real bench, if contract ends, you are basically on your own. A lot of executive management changes in recent years has turned the place into a less than stellar place to work. For example, they no longer match your 401K on a monthly basis, if you leave the company before Dec 31st, you won't receive the 3% match.

Advice to Senior ManagementListen to your people, take care of you people.

Committed to excellence - and the street

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at CACI International full-time

ProsGood pay (same as other beltway competitors). Plenty of training opportunities on your own time.

ConsTough to move up the food chain. Too much micro managing of the line elements - not enough trust placed in those on the line. Very aggressive in their M&A program (good), but quite a few failures due to no plan on how/where to integrate the acquired company (bad).

All About Signing the Timecard

Paralegal (Current Employee)
Boston, MA

I have been working at CACI International full-time for more than a year

ProsNot the worst government contracting company. They give you 4 hours leave every pay period but no additional sick or vacation time. Decent money for a recent college grad.

ConsI worked for the Department of Justice as a contract employee, and CACI owned my contract. There is a not-so-subtle divide among government employees between those who are employed by DOJ (and enjoy the government perks) and the contractors (who are paid a fraction of their DOJ counterparts). When a bomb threat was called into our building and the office was evacuated, CACI made their contract employees use their "Leave" time if they wanted to be compensated for the day. They send constant e-mails reminding you to sign your timecard precisely at 2 pm. And they generally have no concept of the work their contractors do on-site.

It was the best of times and the worst of times

Network Engineer II (Current Employee)
Chantilly, VA

I have been working at CACI International full-time for more than 8 years

ProsHas great benefits, good woking envoirment

ConsMost of the bussiness is goverment contracts. Which are being cut downzied.

Advice to Senior ManagementNot keeping people informed , Used to have quarterly meetings letting us know the status of the contracts. Havent had any meetings in over a year. Just layoffs seems like very three months. Just going from one problem to another with no information flow to the workers.
