I have been working at CAL POLY

    Pros

There is flexible time scheduling, just enough hours to get good money on the side while being a full time student

    Cons

Not many. There is only one position so you can only grade for more people if you want more hours but they are capped by the university eventually.

    Pros

Great Experience of teaching while an undergrad. Good connections made with professors.

    Cons

Weekly meetings are super boring and long. If you repeat the class, it's a waste of time but you have to go. Pay is not great, but it is an undergraduate job.

Very flexible scheduling which was great for a full-time student. Gained a lot of hands-on experience working with heavy machinery and welding projects. Great for engineering students to get their hands dirty while making some cash.

    I worked at CAL POLY

    Pros

Flexibility of work schedule was an immense help to me as I was going to school simultaneously. Oh and San Luis Obispo is a very beautiful area to live and work in if you like outdoorsy activities.

    Cons

Wage was ok, but was difficult to live off of at the very beginning. Depends where you work, but the office culture of some departments is a bit tedious and high strung at times.
