I have been working at CAL Poly Pomona full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Teaching young adults can be very enjoyable, it keeps an individual current, is always challenging, and you are constantly learning new technologies and information. You are autonomous and can be creative getting others to learn. You have flexible time during summers.

    Cons

Teaching involves long hours to prepare for class. It can be challenging to inspire young adults to prepare for class and a good teacher is always needing to try new approaches to keep students enthused for learning.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Administration needs to have a clear plan on learning assessment and curriculum changes rather than making changes on the fly and causing faculty rework.

    Pros

Great internship opportunity withing the Human Resources Services department. Great opportunity to work under one of the several umbrellas of human resources and learn on the job.
