I enjoy working with a great group of higher education professionals.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsThis is a small campus overlooking the SF Bay Area. It is a hidden jewel amongst the CSU campuses because very few realize how beautiful the campus is. We have some very good academic programs, a rising star in athletics, a student life that is fantastic, and a campus housing program that is in great demand.

ConsThe current budget challenges affecting all of higher education has forced every University to do more with less. CSU East Bay isn't immune from these challenges, so we work hard to meet the changing needs of our students, staff, and community.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep pushing the envelope on making this a great place to work! Show that you value all employees with leadership that inspires and supports critical thinking. Don't be afraid to make mistakes, and allow others to do the same. Remind everyone of the wonderful work that we are all doing on behalf of our students, staff, faculty, and communities.

Wonderful atmosphere of collaboration, respect and encouragement

Physics Research Laboratory Manager (Former Employee) Hayward, CA

ProsThe community of excellence within the physics department offers an environment that promotes best-practices and individual potential expansion. Once in the door there is active help to attain achievements.

ConsThere is limited room for promotion due to size of physics department. It is a small department within a large organization. This means great personal attention and support, but also means that there is little room at the top.
