    RN General

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsI worked here as an LPN and loved it and worked on a VERY busy telemetry floor for a year and a half as a new nurse. I learned more here then in my career this far.

    ConsALWAYS short staffed.
    Management could have cared less.
I was scared for my license.

Advice to Senior ManagementIf you would spend the money on proper staffing in the first place that you spend on training new hires who end up quitting soon after they start it would be an AWESOME place to work !

CAMC is a wonderful community hospital to patients and employees.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsCares about patients; cares about employees, good benefits, flexible hours, generally good environment

ConsAll of the pros depend on your department assignment. I hear lots of negatives from others, but have never experienced it. Sometimes the bottom line plays a big role in various aspects, but this is true if any place.

Advice to Senior ManagementIt is a hospital, not a prison. Please start treating your employees better, because in the end, they are the effect on the patient, not the company. A mad employee leads to a bad review.
