    I worked at CB&I full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

You might get lucky and be able to work with some of the prestigious experienced engineers who made this company what it was. But most likely....no. Company used to have (do not know if it still does) a two-year training program for new grads to expose them to various aspects of engineering work (design, manufacturing, construction) which was great.

    Cons

Low pay. Nepotism. Regular layoffs as part of their business plan. Few people will be able to really make a full career here.

    I worked at CB&I

    Pros

Some employees se.emed ok. Nothing else to say

    Cons

Too much duplication of work. Managers had no clue. I was a manager but was given conflicting stories by boss and other employees. The job I interviewed for sounded great. The reality was just the opposite.

I have been working at CB&I full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Located few minute walk from Yellow/Blue Line King Street Metro Station, offers transportation subsidy

    Cons

One particular Business Line has not fully embraced the new acquiring company culture, but instead values legacy culture and history via acquired companies.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Embrace all employees in all work groups instead of focusing on only one aspect of the business

    I worked at CB&I full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Gym, benefits and the occasional flex Friday (note occasional)

    Cons

I was expected to do the work and be the Manager. The problem with this is the Manager shouldn't be doing all of the work!! Helping out your team and chipping in YES but all the time? No

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take out teamwork from your mission statement until you figure out what it means. Know your directors. I shouldn't be harassed to participate in the United Way campaign if I don't want to.

CB&! promises that you'll be able to move up the ladder and I have able to do so. They also offer training that lets you learn form some of the best in the industry.

    Cons

This company is plagued with political problems. This slows down progress on projects and leads to a loss of profits.
