    Pros

    The company does care about it's employees and has nice benefit progrms.

    Cons

    The biggest draw back is the low pay. They make up for it in other ways such as moral events.

    Pros

    Great company to work for. Better than JLL. Lots of opportunity to advance. Good management. Smart, nice people.

    Cons

    Company wants people that want to move up. Not everyone is interested in doing so. Some people are content staying put and CBRE needs to understand these are the key people for forming a solid foundation. Also, Company occasionally puts people in upper level management positions that have never done any work in the discipline being managed.

    Strong leadership, excellent corporate processes/structure, amazing network of real estate professionals. Outstanding research and data analysis tools on hand here.

    Cons

    The usual negatives of a big corporation exist, so if that is a culture you don't like, you should choose another place.

    Pros

    CBRE China has a lot of potential and generally has one of the best platforms to work in real estate in the world. Additionally, the company has many helpful and talented professionals around the world.

    Cons

    This is a good company in most places except China. CBRE China has no culture and has a tendency to restructure every 3-5 years (which has been true since its founding in China) which usually ends with most of the businesses, decimated. It tries to manage China remotely through Hong Kong by buying the wrong talent at exorbitant prices. Arguably CBRE's senior management doesn't understand China at all. It is a horrible company to work for, for mid-management employees because the senior management keeps changing, a moving goal post.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    There are to many Chefs in the kitchen, CBRE needs to spend time building a culture, and stop the cycle of restructuring every 3-5 years. Lastly, it needs to stop building "bad will" in the market by exiting people poorly, and so often.

    Pros

    Strong group of professionals, great sets of procedures available for you to follow, work life balance is encouraged. No micromanagement, you are allowed to perform to the beat of your abilities.

    Cons

    All needed Information is available, just difficult to find quickly or efficiently. IT support is hit or miss. Procedures are set in place to try and minimize the negative effect of poor managers, instead of eliminating poor mangers and enabling skilled managers. Salary is adequate but not enough to secure best talent.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Work though IT call center seek highest performers and pay them to stay. Eliminate mediocrity, acceptable or ok performance should be encouraged out of the firm. Seek to set the highest standard not be standard...

    All the projects that CBRE gets are first rated, the compensation they provided is great.

    Cons

    The time off policies are sometimes hard if you work with a client and there is NO one to take your place while you are on vacations.

    CBRE remote program....Community involvement initiatives. ...

    Cons

    If allowed, no work life balance....Field teams (fellow CBRE employees are demanding, disrespectful, and don't want to do their job lack of adequate IT support...

    Place some emphasis on acquiring and retaining top talent.....in the long run, you will have spent more because of the high turnover...
