Pros
Good colleagues who provide a supportive environment; Informal environment which makes the work fun; Pay above average compared to the industry average

Poor career advancement with little, if any, professional training programs; moving to overseas office hard if you are not in the sales team

The overall compensation package should be reviewed and employees should be given more professional training to improve their work performance.

give your employees incentives to perform and opportunities to grow and develop within the company. pay is way below industry standard.

CBS in a very stable company with a great brand. The offices are nice and people seem generally happy to come in to the office. Most of the people I work with are great

Too much political BS and red tape lead to some questionable business decisions. Many people just work to impress those above them and kiss ass, instead of trying to make good business decisions. Also, CBSi is known around the industry as a low paying company

Pay your employees some more and do what you can to eliminate all of the unnecessary layers of red tape

I was in the international part (ex-US) of CBS Interactive and it's pretty good (compared to what I heard it's like in the US).
Cons
Senior management still has a "the US is the universe" point of view. Get over it!

The world is a much larger oyster than the US. Be more interested in it!

* Lots of hours, there are always games from September to June
* Tough economy to sell athletic corporate partnerships

* Management needs to be a little bit more involved in helping it's sellers close accounts.
Pros
A great diversity of products/sites. Very bright and talented people.
Cons
Little attention paid to retention and career development at the Director level. Fora creative, this is the end of the road at CBS Interactive.
Advice to Senior Management
Not alot of innovation taking place here. More about protecting existing revenue and acquisition. This needs to change to attract and retain top talent.
Pros
The work environment still has remnants of when it was a startup company. With a young and casual atmosphere comes happy hours (every third Thursday is on the company) and fun inter office activities. CBS has many subsidiaries so you could potentially (though maybe not easily) try something new.
Cons
There isn't too much opportunity for growth. It's a big company but while I was there, it seemed like they hired more from the outside than they did from within. Also, it is hard to move around within the company (into other websites and mediums).
Advice to Senior Management
Talk to your employees about future career opportunities and allow them to explore other parts of the company. This can be enhanced by heightened communication with other departments/branches of the company.

poor communication among teams and from the management; little room for growth; salaries are not competitive

establish clear goals early in the year; provide better communication and feedback; invest in keeping and developing existing employees; fix HR and accounting departments (no one seems to be accountable for anything there)
