    Pros

A good company if you are looking for something very corporate and has a top down approach. The San Francisco office has a well seasoned team.

    Cons

The well seasoned team makes it extremely difficult for new individuals to succeed as they are like sharks in open water.

    Pros

Salary is good for the area.

    Cons

IT solutions are pushed down from above without input from the experts performing the job. Many decisions were not the best decisions.

    Advice to Management

Needs to meet with hired experts to get best solutions.

I have been working at CBS

    Pros

Good entry level job where your co-workers have been in the industry a long time.

    Cons

Pay is low, and there is very little room for raises. Most positions have people who have to retire before they open up. No benefits and you have to work holidays.

    Pros

Lots of Stability. Manageable work/life balance. Good name recognition on your resume. Lots of movement due to many people leaving in short period of time.

    Cons

Not competitive in pay. Way below market value. Archaic systems and office setup. Still in cubes. No option to work from home.

    Pros

    Work life balance was manageable.

    Cons

Promotions are rare, salaries are low and increases are tiny. Horrible Human Resources, they don't look out for you or help you. They don't offer employees written/supervisor evaluations. Never saw the CEO and you don't hear from him often.

    Advice to Management

Offer fair pay and promote. Company needs to make employees more excited about working there.

    Pros

Big Company, reputable, good career outlook, great way to move around the company, lots of contacts

    Cons

Not fun, too divided up, extremely siloed, boring lifestyle, rude to talk to management, unclear

    Advice to Management

    Dont treat intern's like garbage

    Pros

Fun to work for multiple stations and they support moving up within the company.

    Cons

Some long work days but it's often appreciated

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing

    Pros

Name recognition on resume will open up many doors. The health benefits package is fairly generous compared to many smaller employers but costs are being pushed to employees more each year.

    Cons

The company knows that people want to have CBS on their resume so salaries are not as competitive as other less know companies.

    Advice to Management

Try to attract better talent by offering a more competitive compensation package. Also, keep raises current with market salaries.
