I have been working at CBTS as a contractor (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The pay and benefits are good. Minimal administrative / paperwork to deal with. This assignment has been one of the most technically challenging jobs I've had.

    Cons

My main complaint is that I personally hate being a consultant. Overall, if you perform well, they leave don't hassle you. Management isn't very communicative, but then I'm taking my day-to-day orders from the client.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More communication, please. In 2.5 years, we've only had one team meeting for my manager.

    Cons

I worked at CBTS as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

Very professional staff who treat their contractors well. Very competitive pay for their respective fields. The recruiters are always friendly and ready to help, and can (from my experience) find a suitable contract in no time flat.

    Cons

Jobs aren't necessarily focused on personal growth, just getting positions filled with good people. Things are very much business-oriented.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Some discussion with prospective contractors about their career goals and what positions would help to achieve them would be beneficial.

I have been working at CBTS full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Benefits are good. They do get good longer term contract for the employees.

    Cons

Little to no support from management or HR. They assign you to a position and then forget about you and your salary. They do not pay for training after they sign you on telling you that they do.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay people what they are worth. Pay for training for your employees - it would make them stay longer.

    I worked at CBTS

    Pros

    Excellent benefit offering, generally speaking.

    Cons

Fairly unstable working environment in general

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your employees with respect. You hired them for a reason, and don't take away their compensation/incentives and then give million dollar bonuses to the highest officers in the company. You alienate your workers that way - be a leader.

I have been working at CBTS full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Good work environment, flexible working hours, WFH options, quarterly bonus, good coworkers, and good management. Overall working @ CBTS has been a good experience.

    Cons

Lack of growth opportunities and salaries arent competitive as with other companies. Hard time keeping good employees. Good employees leave after 2-3 years due to lack of advancement opportunity and lower pay.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Possibly take a look at how they can restructure finances to be more competitive with salaries to keep good employees.

    Pros

It has a small business family atmosphere despite actually being a part of Cincinnati Bell. I enjoyed my time there.

    Cons

Sometimes it felt like we were fighting two different agendas CBT and Cincinnati Bell. Alot of conflict of business.
