    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at CCFMG full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Since CRMC is a level 1 trauma center you will gain a great deal of experience. Most of the nursing staff is great to work with. There is a large number of patients that come through the hospital with multiple types of injuries and/or sicknesses making this a great place to learn.

    Cons

As a PA here, especially in Neurosurgery, you will end up working 100+ hours per week. Most PA's do not stay longer than 6-9 months making the turn over very high and there is always a constant shortage of midlevels. The pay rate is not as high as other private offices and raises are rarely, if ever, given. Promises are made but they are never kept by the MD's and HR making this a difficult place to have and maintain high morale.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at CCFMG part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It is a great place to learn and start your career.

    Cons

They hire a lot of floats and per diems to avoid paying benefits. I have been employed with them for 2 years and still a per diem. They hired more part time staff to avoid paying benefits because of Obama care. Very frustrating. We have a very high turn over rate.

    Advice to Management

Our management has made our work place a hostile work environment by telling other employees complaints that other employees said about them. They should really not name names in these situations. Makes it very uncomfortable when everyone is upset with each other.
