I have been working at CCS Presentation Systems full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great benefit package, flexible hours, many different types of positions within the company, bonus program that can get you a lot of money if you perform well.

    Cons

Management doesn't,t seem to appreciate their employees as much as they used to, extreme micromanagement in some departments.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Most of the time, company moral is in the toilet! Do something for your employees to show your appreciation and moral will go up, performance and productivity will go up, and turnover will go down.

I have been working at CCS Presentation Systems

    Pros

Steady hours, little travel, professional training, base salary, decent health benefits (for employee). Provided tools, computer, systems and sales support team and freedom to structure your goals. Owners continue to invest heavily in future of company, buying building and hiring staff and sourcing training.

    Cons

Poor communication and little management help. Every man for himself and one old timer in each office makes as much as the owners after inheriting cash-cow clients and the others all starve. Mileage compensation dropped so too expensive to pursue new business outside "risk vs. reward." Hired at a simple commission plan, a year later it was slashed to bits punishing those not making the number with such little commissions you don't even want to get up in the morning.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Balance the account distribution so that each account can be maximized and each rep has a base to work from. Yes, make them choose and pull the others! With all the big eggs in one guy's portfolio, he ignores developing those accounts to their fullest (order taker, incoming calls, rarely "sells" and never "up-sells") so that those accounts can be even more productive for the office. Help with prospecting and finding leads. It is OK to have the compensation vary with sales performance but it isn't OK to keep that one guy on his max program while everyone else is getting one-seventh or one-fifth the rate most months. That is very demoralizing. Work a deal so there is incentive and help with mileage costs to pursue good business that isn't in the backyard.
